Game history
The History page lists games that have finished on the official servers, newest first. It needs no sign-in. Search by player (Name or Name#Tag) or by map, and press Load more to go further back. Open a game to see its details.
What is recorded
For each finished game:
- the map, the date and how long the game lasted (minutes and seconds),
- the players, grouped by team, with the winning team marked and each player's result: won, lost, left or draw,
- why it ended: one team won, everyone left, the game ran out of time, or a draw,
- for every player: units made and lost, kills, gold gathered and spent, and buildings built.
Open a game for more: facts (length, players, winner), Teams compared (kills, gold and units as bars), per-player tables where the best value of each column is lit and a bar shows each value against the best, and Timeline and chat: the lines written in the game, placed along its length. Names link to the player's profile. Share copies the address.
If you are signed in, the page also shows My stats: your games, wins, losses, early leaves, units made and lost, kills and gold gathered, added up over all your games.
A game that a dedicated server reports is recorded when it ends. Nothing is recorded for games you host on your own machine.
Replays
A game with a replay shows a Download replay button, which gives you a game-<id>.w4r file.
The simulation is deterministic and runs in fixed steps, and players act only through commands. So a replay does not need video: the dedicated server keeps the stream of commands, and playing the same stream through the same simulation shows the same game. A replay is small, and the engine can watch it from any angle and at any speed. Opening a replay in the engine is not built yet; the file can be downloaded now.
